CubeP2P Legal
Terms & Conditions
The rules for renters, hosts, moving partners and everyone using the CubeP2P marketplace.
Effective date: 11 October 2026
1. Agreement and eligibility
By accessing CubeP2P, creating an account, listing space, requesting or accepting a booking, applying as a moving partner, quoting for work or using another platform feature, you agree to these Terms and the policies presented with the relevant service.
You must be at least 18, able to enter a binding agreement and provide accurate, current information. If you act for a business or property owner, you confirm that you have authority to bind them.
2. CubeP2P's role
CubeP2P provides a marketplace that helps renters find hosts with available storage or parking space and may connect bookings with approved moving partners. Unless expressly stated, CubeP2P does not own, operate, inspect or control listed spaces and is not the employer, agent or joint venture partner of a host or moving provider.
Hosts control their spaces; renters control the goods they store; and independent moving partners control how they perform accepted moving work, subject to the agreement, law and platform safety rules. Verification, approval or moderation reduces risk but is not a guarantee of identity, conduct, space condition, availability or service quality.
3. Accounts, verification and security
One person may maintain one active verified CubeP2P member account. Renter, host and moving-partner capabilities should be added to that account rather than created through separate personal accounts. You must use your own account, protect your email-and-password or Google sign-in details and notify support of suspected compromise. Phone-number and SMS-code sign-in are not offered. CubeP2P may request identity, address, property-authority, business, vehicle, licence, bank-confirmation or insurance evidence and may re-check it.
Automated camera, document and consistency checks may help an administrator identify missing, unclear or inconsistent information. They are review assistance only. They do not automatically approve an identity or declare a document genuine. An authorised administrator makes and records the final verification, listing, partner and payout-account decision.
CubeP2P may reject, restrict or suspend an account, listing or partner where information cannot be verified or where there is suspected fraud, illegality, non-payment, abuse or safety risk. Creating another account does not bypass an earlier restriction, rejection or suspension. Potential duplicate matches are subject to authorised review and an affected person may use Contact to request correction or appeal. You must not bypass access controls, scrape private data, impersonate others or misuse another person's information.
4. Hosts and listings
A host must have the legal right and all permissions needed to offer the space. Listings must accurately show usable size, space type, price, availability, security, access conditions, surveillance, known moisture or hazards, restrictions and current photographs.
Hosts must keep the space reasonably safe and available as agreed, protect renter information and access credentials, and promptly update or pause inaccurate listings. A host may not use, open, move, retain or dispose of stored property except with authority, for an immediate safety need, or through a lawful process.
5. Renters and stored property
Renters must describe their intended use and items honestly, follow access and safety rules, pay agreed charges, keep contact details current, avoid damage, and remove all property when the booking ends.
You may not store illegal or stolen goods, weapons or ammunition, explosives, fuel, flammable or toxic material, hazardous waste, perishables, living things, unregistered vehicles, irreplaceable valuables without specific agreement, or anything that threatens people, property or the environment. A listing is not a residence, workplace or business address unless expressly and lawfully agreed.
6. Requests, acceptance and handover
A request or message does not reserve a space. Host acceptance starts the renter's stated secure card-authorisation window, currently 24 hours where shown, and the requested dates may be held during that period. For an eligible Live storage booking, the provider may authorise a card hold first; that hold is not a captured payment. An incomplete, declined or expired authorisation may release the dates.
The exact address, navigation and private access details unlock only after the booking's secure authorisation is verified or payment is captured. The first Live storage charge is captured only after the physical move-in is recorded and confirmed in the required workflow. Before handover, the parties must review access, dates, booking details, rules and condition. Move-in and move-out records may require notes and photographs from one party and confirmation or a concern from the other.
Keep material discussions and agreed changes in CubeP2P. Do not share door codes or exact access information earlier or more widely than necessary. Each party must cooperate with inventory review, inspection evidence, access appointments and move-out.
7. Moving partners
Applicants must submit accurate ownership, registrant, fleet, driver, staff, service-area, licence and insurance information and keep it current. Approval is discretionary, may be withdrawn, and does not promise a minimum volume of work. The approved business name, logo and public profile are controlled records; a partner must ask CubeP2P to review a material change before publication.
For move-in, a renter provides a preferred pickup date and time and the partner may propose another available schedule with the quote. For move-out, the renter and host must first agree the handover date and time in the storage booking. The partner must quote for that agreed appointment. Customer acceptance confirms the quoted price and proposed schedule.
An approved partner may access only jobs assigned to it, use customer information only to quote and perform the job, and must maintain roadworthy vehicles, appropriate insurance, licensed drivers, trained staff and all legally required permits. Partners must keep shared statuses accurate from scheduling through delivery and report damage, accidents, delays and safety concerns promptly.
Moving partners are independent service providers responsible for their personnel, taxes, insurance, equipment, routing and legal compliance. They may not subcontract an assigned job without any required customer and platform approval or move CubeP2P-introduced work off-platform to avoid fees.
8. Prices, platform fees, payments and payouts
Space bookings and moving services are billed separately. Renters see the final customer price before each authorisation or charge. Moving partners see their marketplace fee and payout breakdown privately in the partner workspace. Each storage booking may have one move-in service and one move-out service; CubeP2P prevents duplicate paid services of the same type.
Prices, taxes, processing charges, service fees and commissions that apply to a party are shown or communicated before confirmation. Users authorise the approved payment provider to process payment instructions. For eligible Live storage, the provider may place a temporary card hold before move-in and capture it only after the recorded physical move-in. A separately accepted moving quotation may use its own approved authorisation and is captured only after the recorded delivery milestone. The provider controls payment authorisation and the movement of funds under its terms. CubeP2P creates and updates the related booking and accounting records on the marketplace. A recurring payment mandate may remain active while items or a vehicle remain in the space, including a properly disclosed month-to-month continuation, and is cancelled after the recorded move-out and lawful close of the rental.
The approved payment provider and relevant financial institutions handle customer payments, refunds, chargebacks, split settlement and payouts. CubeP2P does not independently hold, safeguard or control funds on behalf of users. It records charges, fees, refunds, payouts and provider references so users and administrators can see their marketplace status. CubeP2P may mark a payout record as pending or ineligible and may request an authorised provider action. Those records and requests do not move money. If settlement is delayed or funds must be safeguarded before payout, that process must remain under the approved payment provider's control and terms.
CubeP2P does not provide a transferable user wallet. A balance or payout amount shown on the platform is only an accounting record of an expected, pending or completed provider transaction. The displayed amount does not represent money held by CubeP2P, and it is not a bank account, escrow account or balance that one user can transfer to another.
If a recurring payment fails, CubeP2P may record the failure, place the agreement in a recovery period and ask the provider to retry where the user has authorised retries. No related host payout becomes eligible while the renter's payment has failed or has not cleared. It remains unpaid or ineligible until the payment issue is resolved and the provider confirms the payment. After the recovery period expires, CubeP2P may restrict new bookings. A restriction does not decide a genuine dispute or authorise interference with stored property. CubeP2P does not promise to fund a host payout from its own money where the renter has not paid.
Hosts and partners are responsible for their own tax obligations and correct payout details. The provider or a relevant financial institution may delay, decline, refund, reverse or adjust a transaction under its terms, or where required for a chargeback, duplicate processing, suspected fraud, legal compliance or a payment dispute. CubeP2P may update the marketplace record to reflect a provider-confirmed outcome. The marketplace record does not itself move money. Never pay through an unapproved link or send full card details in messages.
9. Cancellations, expiry, holdover and refunds
Cancellation and refund eligibility depends on the policy presented for the booking or moving service, its status, timing, performance and applicable consumer law. Where section 14 of the Consumer Protection Act applies, a consumer may cancel a fixed-term agreement on 20 business days' recorded notice, subject to amounts owed through the effective date and any lawful reasonable cancellation penalty. CubeP2P will not automatically accelerate every remaining monthly charge merely because one payment failed.
CubeP2P may send a recorded fixed-term expiry notice within the legally applicable period and later reminders. The renter may request another fixed term, request month-to-month continuation or plan move-out. An extension or month-to-month continuation requires host approval, an availability check and a valid billing arrangement where another payment will become due. Only one end-of-term plan can be active. Without an approved continuation, the confirmed fixed end date remains controlling.
The contractual end date, billing status and physical move-out status are separate. A term ending does not establish that belongings have left. If property remains, the host must preserve it and open an uncollected-property case; the host may not sell, dump, use, retain or move it except for an immediate safety need or through lawful written authority. CubeP2P may record notices, contact attempts, inventory, photographs, outstanding balances and legal holds while an appropriate process is followed.
CubeP2P may request photographs, messages, inventory records, payment evidence or other information before deciding what platform action is appropriate. Nothing in these Terms removes a mandatory remedy or consumer right that applies under South African law. This workflow is operational guidance and does not replace advice from a qualified South African lawyer for a particular dispute.
10. Insurance, damage and risk
Unless CubeP2P expressly confirms cover in writing, the platform does not automatically insure stored goods, vehicles, host property or moving services. Each user must assess risk and obtain suitable cover before a booking or job.
Report loss, damage, theft, unauthorised access or an accident immediately to the relevant party, appropriate authorities or insurer, and CubeP2P support. Preserve photographs, inventories, receipts and messages. Platform assistance does not itself admit liability or guarantee compensation.
11. Safety, conduct and reports
Treat others lawfully and respectfully. Threats, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, dangerous conduct, manipulated reviews, fraudulent documents and deceptive listings or quotes are prohibited. In an emergency, contact emergency services first.
CubeP2P may investigate reports, request evidence, hide content, cancel platform access or refer a matter to a payment provider, insurer or authority. Users must not make knowingly false or malicious reports.
12. Content, reviews and intellectual property
You retain ownership of content you submit but grant CubeP2P a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, format and display it as needed to operate, secure and promote the platform, subject to the Privacy Policy.
Your content must be accurate, lawful and non-infringing. Reviews must reflect a genuine eligible experience. CubeP2P may remove or restrict content that violates these Terms, privacy, safety or law. CubeP2P branding, software and original site content remain protected.
13. Privacy and confidential information
CubeP2P processes personal information under its Privacy Policy. Users who receive another person's address, contact, access, identity or job information may use it only for the relevant booking or service, protect it, and delete it when no longer lawfully needed.
14. Platform changes and third parties
CubeP2P may maintain, change or discontinue features and does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Third-party payment, map, hosting or communication services may have separate terms. CubeP2P is not responsible for a third party outside the extent required by law.
14A. Cubi virtual support
Cubi is CubeP2P's automated, AI-powered virtual assistant. Cubi provides general guidance and may be available at any time, but is not a live person and cannot inspect or change private account records, approve verification, decide refunds or disputes, provide emergency help, or give legal advice. Important decisions must be verified in the relevant dashboard or through CubeP2P's review process.
Do not give Cubi passwords, full card details, identity numbers, exact addresses or private documents. When private review is required, use Send a Message on the Contact page and include only the reference and evidence reasonably needed.
15. Liability and indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CubeP2P is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, user misconduct, inaccurate listings, the condition of a space, inaccessible goods, or independent moving performance. Any limitation applies only where fair and lawful in the circumstances.
You are responsible for loss arising from your unlawful conduct, material breach, infringement or misuse of another person's property or information and agree to reimburse CubeP2P for resulting third-party claims and reasonable costs to the extent permitted by law. Nothing excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
16. Suspension, ending use and surviving duties
CubeP2P may warn, restrict, suspend or terminate access for breach, risk, fraud, unlawful conduct or non-payment. You may stop using the service, but must complete or lawfully cancel active bookings and jobs, pay outstanding amounts and protect information already received. Payment, dispute, privacy, content and liability provisions continue where their nature requires.
17. Complaints and disputes
First contact the other party in good faith where safe, then submit a clear support enquiry with the relevant reference, timeline and evidence. CubeP2P may facilitate communication or make a platform decision but is not a court, insurer or compulsory arbitrator.
These Terms are governed by South African law. If a dispute is not resolved informally, either party may use a regulator, ombud, tribunal or court with lawful jurisdiction. Consumers retain access to remedies available under applicable consumer law.
18. Changes, general terms and contact
CubeP2P may update these Terms for legal, safety, operational or product changes. The effective date will be revised and material changes will receive additional notice where appropriate. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. Failure to enforce a term is not a waiver.
Questions, complaints and legal notices may be started through the CubeP2P Contact page. Include your account email and relevant booking, listing or moving-request reference, but never your password or full card details. The registered private body is CUBEP2P (PTY) LTD, registration number 2026/647630/07. Its registered and business contact address is 1st Floor, Foyer 3, The Colosseum, Century Way, Century City, 7441, Cape Town, South Africa, and its telephone number is 021 301 0523.
19. Current service availability
CubeP2P is onboarding verified members in South Africa. Paystack Live checkout is available only when the relevant account, accepted booking, host or partner settlement details, and payment-provider readiness checks are complete. A verified card hold is not a captured payment. A checkout marked TEST, QA or sandbox has no live commercial value.
A screen clearly marked TEST, QA, sandbox or test payment is for controlled testing only. It does not complete a live charge, refund, settlement or payout. Eligible Live checkout, approved recurring charges, refunds and provider settlement are available only where the relevant account, booking, recipient settlement details and payment-provider readiness checks are complete.
20. Current CubeP2P service-fee schedule
Creating a listing and applying as a moving partner are free. A host chooses one fee option for each listing. Under Split fee, an 8% host fee applies and a 5% renter service fee is added to the space rental. Under Host absorbs the fee, a 13% host fee applies and there is no renter service fee. The selected renter fee, if any, applies to the initial and each recurring monthly booking payment. For moving services, a 10% moving-partner fee applies to the accepted quotation. No additional renter service fee is added to a moving quotation.
The listing, request and checkout show the price applicable to that user before confirmation. Hosts see their gross booking earnings, selected host fee and net payout. Renters see their space rental, any renter service fee and total due. Moving partners see the accepted quotation, the 10% fee and their 90% net payout. The fee option and percentages are recorded when a booking request is created, so a later listing change does not alter that booking or its recurring payments, refund or cancellation records. Any VAT or other legally required charge will be included or added only where legally applicable and disclosed before confirmation. CubeP2P may change fees prospectively by updating these Terms and giving appropriate notice; the fee snapshot recorded for an existing booking is not changed retrospectively.
